They just don't make them like they used to. . .

In my 17 years of selling real estate, I've never come upon a building that is so special. I have represented numerous new construction projects in Crocus and Ramsey Hill, but nothing compares to the quality and beautiful design of Waldorf Flats. For instance, the hand-carved gargoyle facade motif, the inlaid mosaic tile in the entry, the elaborate brick coursing, the ornate woodwork inside, . . . .all real. NEVER can we replicate any of this in today's world. We've simply lost the artisans & craftsmen capable of creating these things of beauty.

Consider the modern interior amenities: insulation, new custom windows (very green), central air, interior spaces designed for modern living...meaning large OPEN spaces, incredible textures, fantastic baths...separate tub/shower, kitchens that a cook can truly use, gas fireplaces (some with original mantels) and GARAGES!

This truly is this best the neighborhood has to offer!!

Reason #1 to Work with a Boutique Real Estate Firm

NO JUNK FEES!!! All of the “Big Box” brokerages charge a buyer or seller $350-$495 under the guise of “Broker Administration Fee” (we just call them “Junk Fees”). When I first entered the business, we didn’t charge junk fees and I won’t ever charge them to my clients.
I have 16 years of experience selling real estate in the Metro, specializing in the established neighborhoods of St. Paul.

Check Out my Savvy Sign!

The cute little bird helps you recognize me in an instant. It's always handy to have a visual aid in this busy, fast paced world. And incidentally, Sperling means "sparrow" in German and I just so happen to be of German decent.

I have a lovely new listing The Commodore. If you don't know about the Commodore, it was The swanky joint of the 1920's. Originally, the building was a hotel in the true Art Deco style. It was one of the first condo conversions in St. Paul in the late 1970's done by Thomy O'Brien whose family still owns the squash club (great courts and a full gym) with is attached to the condo building. This building is one of the best buys in Ramsey Hill with all the things people look for in a condo: 2br/2ba, 1,200sf, heated underground parking and an elevator. It shows incredibly well, as the kitchen and baths have been completely redone and the walk-in closet is all decked out with great shelving. If you were to buy this unit across the street at Western Row, it would have cost you around $385,000, but here at The Commodore it is listed only at $239,900. Click here to see the brochure.
